GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager for Respiratory Care Support/Logistics is responsible for managing all aspects of logistical support for Respiratory Care Services. Responsibilities include 1) coordinating repair and preventive maintenance of all mechanical ventilators and other equipment, 2) managing infection prevention processes including equipment decontamination, assembly, and testing, 3) supervising support personnel, 4) ordering and distributing medical gas cylinders, supply items and special request items, and 5) managing applicable inventories. This senior manager works closely with Supply Chain partners, Distribution Center staff, and Materials Management to ensure smooth and efficient workflow and appropriate inventory. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Assistant Director of Respiratory Care performs a broad range of functions, is responsible for the continual operation of a Respiratory Care Department / Cost Center, and has supervisory or higher level personnel as direct reports on the organizational chart. Demonstrates critical thinking skills, creativity, and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. Supports the Respiratory Care profession by maintaining membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). Actively participates in outstanding customer service, and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

patient care responsibilities. Responsible for assessing staffing needs and making assignments.
