• Lead Pathology Department and provide Laboratory Medical Director oversight; Inova Fairfax Medical campus ; 923-bed Level 1 trauma center and #1 best hospital in both Virginia and Washington DC metropolitan area. Responsible for overall operation and administration of laboratory, including employment of competent personnel, equipment, safety, laboratory policies, quality assurance, all testing (including proficiency testing) and test reports.

• Medical Director oversight of large reference lab providing comprehensive range of routine and specialized laboratory tests for both in- and out-patient populations (totaling 3.5 million billable tests/ year including core lab, centralized microbiology, histology and cytology tests.
• Established clinical pathology professional component billing practice with annual revenue of about 3 million dollars since 2013
• Maintained compliance with local, national and federal requirements for staff education and certifications
• Developed yearly objectives, goals and budgets in addition to devising suggestions to decrease spending

Established flow cytometry lab and was responsible for overall operation and administration of flow cytometry laboratory with annual test volume of 1200 hematologic malignancies

• Signed out general pathology, hematopathology, kidney pathology and cardiac pathology cases; Performed frozen section and CT guided core biopsy adequacy evaluation.
