Throughout my career in oilfield automation/I&E, I have gained over three years of experience. Troubleshooting issues with different field devices across a variety of brands is something I have learned over the years. I have solid experience with Control Builder Plus (ABB) and Telepace Studios (Scada Pack) ladder logic programs as well as Schneider VFDs. Recently I have gotten a little more expercience with ROC RTUs and Allen Bradley controllers as well as the software used to configure the devices.
-Wire in a PLC and set up the logic for operation, performed walkthroughs and C&E with operators to test everything.
-Set up various VFDs and VRU panels.
-Set up compressor panels and establish 485 communications to the PLC.
-Installed and configured various measurement devices that communicate through Modbus or 4-20mA.
-Setup communication sequences through MSIP blocks or Master blocks.
-Work in tandem with other groups such as: I&E, Operators, Field Comms and Data Collection to replace or troubleshoot field devices or vessels Learned how to set up control logic such as: on/off criteria dependent logic, field kills and alarms.
-Troubleshoot field device comm fails for both Modbus and 485.
-Set up and establish comms for Schneider Power monitors and create power fail alarms.
-Install and set up Weintek HMIs and poll all field device data to the display.
-Set up analog controls for various valves and VFDs to control operations based on certain criteria.
-Configure Profire BMS to communicate with the PLC and control the burners on dehydrators and HHS.
-Troubleshoot various issues with all the field devices that we controlled or various issues with all the field devices that we controlled or polled.
-Setup ABB PLCs and backup battery panels.
-Install, configure and establish comms to E&H mag meters and coriolis.
-Setup TotalFlow panels for measuring gas production and establish comms to the PLC.
-Install and setup RedLion HMIs and establish communications to the PLC.
-Setup VFDs for the horizontal pumps at SWDs. Assist the electrical crews with the selection of wire and conduit and the number of pairs needed to the connect the field devices.
-Install, wire in and setup comms for the tank sticks.
-Install and calibrate Van Zandt analog butterfly valves.
-Troubleshoot any comms loss alarms or false reading from any of the devices.
-Setup and troubleshoot modems and switches in the panels.
-Worked with engineers to set up and test TotalFlow XFC G4 panels to control smaller compressor stations.
-Worked with engineers to establish comms between water transfer setups via SignalFire.
