Hayden Dunn

I am a committed Firefighter offering three and a half years of experience controlling, containing and extinguishing fires, which includes two of those years working as an Emergency Medical Technician. I am professional and passionate about maintaining safety of local community and saving lives. I am a dedicated and loyal employee who is goal driven and extremely motivated to be the best at my job not only for my safety but for the safety of my crew and the community that I help protect. I love getting to interact with the public and increase public relations between the firefighters and the community they serve.

• I have been a Firefighter with Nelsonville Division of Fire for three and a half years. I worked part time for 2 years and I am currently holding a Full Time Firefighter position, which I have been in for the last year and a half. I am currently acting Senior Firefighter and will officially take the title of Senior Firefighter on April 16 2024. While in my position as acting Senior Firefighter I have been Incident Command for many fire scenes and vehicle accidents until our Chief arrived. I have been tasked with scheduling our part timers and assisting in setting up and teaching trainings for the Fire Department. I have worked through major staffing issues, including working a 72 on 24 off schedule when we had our line of duty death and a lot of our members were leaving. I am very dedicated to my Fire Department and I feel that I would be a strong addition to another Fire Department as well.
