At amazon I am a stow associate, I stow similar items from totes into different size/height robots.
I opened the restaurant and ensured everything was set up and prepared for day (open sign, unlock the door, make sure soda fountains are clean and ready for use, brew tea, prep salads, etc). Once customers arrive I promptly approach the table and get them situated with drinks and get their food order submitted, ran my food (and helped others as food came up), made sure that the guests had a good experience all around, cash them out, buss off the tables and keep a tidy section, then I'd close the restaurant including daily cleaning, looking the doors, shutting down the patio, etc.
I also bartend and serve at blackhorse. When I’m in these roles, my responsibility is guest satisfaction. I greet the guests as they sit down, get their drinks and food, and answer any questions they may have about our food or how it is made. I make sure their gets to them correctly and with the right sauces/condiments. At the end of their meal I bring them the check and process their payment, at the end of the shift I do my checkout and get my money together for the manager. After everyone leaves we close up and do cleaning duties, which include, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, deep cleaning, restocking & putting away all glass ware.
When I manage I’m responsible for ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly on the foh side. I assist servers, hosts & bartenders with anything they need through out the shift. I discount, comp and delete anything as needed. I make sure our guests have a pleasant experience at our restaurant, I do table touches through out shift to ensure things are coming out smoothly and everything’s going good. At the end of shift, i lock up, I take all servers, bar, hosts checkouts/drawers and make sure all of that is correct. I then make sure the money in the restaurant is correct.
I also run the expo window during dinner, I make sure things are plated correctly, cooked correctly, with the correct sides, garnishes, etc. I’m responsible for getting the food out in the correct order & in a timely manner.
I answered calls for USAA bank, I took applications for auto and personal loans. I gathered their personal info, work info, & processed their credit. I then let them know of the decision, whether or not it was approved or denied & then explain any reasons for the decline. Sometimes calls would have to be escalated if people were upset with the results.
Scotties is a small diner that my grandmas best friend owned, I started washing dishes there on saturdays when I was 14, eventually it turned in to me serving. There’s only one server and one cook for the whole restaurant, I got the guests drinks, food, condiments refills, silverware, etc, did my dishes through shift, kept a tidy diner, helped the cook as needed (threw burgers on the grill, grabbed back ups from the back, put the bread in the toaster, steamed the buns, brewed tea, brewed coffee, restock, balance the drawer & lock up.
