  • I worked for Alex and Diana and their 3 children when Hunter was 5 and the twins were 23 months , Hunter was in school and went to lots of after school activities, the twins and I went out and about we loved to go hiking and playing by the river, parks , museums, the zoo and libraries. Grayson and Landon were both in speech therapy when I started so I would take them to that. Also Grayson has severe food allergies so there is a lot of consideration on his food and any contact he may have with the foods he is allergic to. He was in a currently in a treatment program so i had to make a lot of different specialty foods for his program. Obviously Covid was a challenge for us all and during that period hunter got diagnosed with ADHD so there was a lot of playing with medication until we get the right dosage for him. Covid was very isolating for all of us and was really hard , we then spent all our time in the local forests and rivers, I started doing a little preschool curriculum with Grayson and Landon which they really loved. When we were finally able to come back it was an adjustment getting Grayson and Landon back into the world as they really did not have memories before Covid but they are thrived and started preschool and they loved it. my role then transitioned into a household management role with organizing the house, making dinners, laundry and anything pertaining to the children's needs inside and outside of the house.

  • I worked for a wonderful family Maeve and Kelly and Matthew who are twins. When I started working for them Maeve was 3 and Matt and Kelly were 6 months. When John and Karen hired me, they hired me to nanny solely for Matt and Kelly who were born at 27 weeks so they were 6 months old but developmentally they were 3 months old, Maeve went to daycare at johns work at the time and when she got into the local elementary school we added her into my duties in August of 2016. I planed all activities for matt and Kelly we would go to museums and the zoo weekly, we also attended Storytime at the library weekly and go to busboys and poets for a music show on Mondays. In between we went to playgrounds and we loved to go hiking we attended free forest school on Fridays which is a child led hike through the forest and in the creek, the same group meets every Friday in rock creek park no matter what the weather is like and the kids are in charge. I also planned age appropriate arts and crafts and science experiments.
