In high school I was a varsity athlete and nannied for a two year old boy. Balancing school, sports and work was a challenge, but I learned to manage my time. I was able to develop time management and communication skills through being so busy. After the school year is over, I work for a family in Colorado as a nanny to two kids ages 14 and 8. This job helps me develop different skills like patients and attentiveness. I also recently got my Certified Nursing Assistant license in Colorado. Care giving is something that I have always been passionate about. Working with residents and patients teaches you so much and you are able to learn about different people and how to work with them. This is why I decided to go to the University of Hawaii at Manoa for school, in hopes to get into the nursing program. As I am living out here I am passionate about getting to know different people and a new work environment. I am confident in my abilities to engage with costumers and put my best work forward always.
As a summer nanny, I do many different things.
As a private nanny I worked for a short period of time to help a family in need. I was able to preformed many different skills in this form of nanny. Such as:
