Hayven Thomas

As a Child Care Assistant for the 4 to 5-year-old age group, I help create a supportive and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. I assist the lead teacher with preparing and leading activities that encourage early learning skills, creativity, and social development—whether it’s through storytelling, arts and crafts, group games, or basic pre-kindergarten lessons.

I help manage daily routines like snack time, bathroom breaks, cleanup, and transitions between activities, all while maintaining a calm, consistent, and positive atmosphere. I also keep a close eye on the children’s safety, guide them in resolving conflicts, and support them in developing independence and confidence.

I work as part of a team to ensure our classroom is clean, organized, and welcoming, and I keep open communication with families about their child’s day, behavior, and progress. My role is all about patience, energy, and a real passion for helping young children get ready for their next big step: kindergarten.
