I am an experienced educator with a doctorate in educational leadership. I have years of experience in classroom teaching, assistant principal roles, district, and state-level Federal Program administration, having served as a former Director of Exceptional Services and Federal Program Director at the district level. Most of my teaching experience gave me the opportunity to offer students access to quality education to ensure they could meet educational standards in Low-Performing Districts. As a Title I teacher, I was able to offer aid to students who needed help achieving their states’ education standards. In a Title I school, teachers have the primary responsibility of providing individualized or small-group instruction to students who are struggling academically, particularly in reading and math. In addition to this level of educational exposure, I have served as a former trainer for the Mississippi State Department of Education. I have been an adjunct professor at Belhaven University for over ten years. I am presently an ELA consultant for Kids First Consulting Firm. My communication and networking skills are highly transferable to functioning effectively as the Director of Leadership and Education. My experience enables me to effectively perform within various business organizations and educational settings, while collaborating with all stakeholders, including superintendents, school boards, funding sources, parents, students, and other key parties. I oversee various organizational functions and actively engage with key stakeholders, including sources, parents, students, and other relevant parties. A diverse background has significantly enhanced my ability to perform effectively across multiple organizations, enabling me to bring a broader perspective to different educational opportunities.
