Hazel Ensley

I've always been an excellent student because of my responsibility and willingness to work. I am self-motivated, I handle my schoolwork and get straight-A's because I want to set myself up for my future. I am sixteen with a driver's license and I handle everything on my own. I've driven myself to volleyball practices and games 15 minutes early because my parents have always taught me that 15 minutes early is on time. I'm willing to do any kind of work because I understand that any type of work is an opportunity to grow my experience. Working at Barnes and Noble has been a dream job of mine ever since I first really got into reading at age 10. My Grandpa used to take me to go read here and to me, Barnes and Noble was Disneyland. I come here a lot after school to study in the Cafe, and if I have time, I can indulge myself in reading the summaries of different books in the Fiction section.

• I love reading, and my favorite genres are Fiction, Psychological Fiction, Sci-Fi, Dystopian, Science Fantasy, Mystery, Philosophy, Classics, Science, and Historical Fiction.
• Music is my favorite form of media because it helps me relax and focus on one thing at a time. Sometimes I can try to do too many things at once, and music makes me reassess and think things through. I like to surf a bunch of genres from Indie to R&B.
• I love to thrift because I think clothes are a great way to express yourself and who you are. Thrifting is affordable, eco-friendly, and it gives you a unique sense of style.
• I love sports, and my favorites are Volleyball and Tennis. Volleyball has really grown my relationships with my friends and my ability to work together as a team. Sometimes I can try to do everything myself, but having a team reminds me that I can't do it on my own, I have my people to back me up.
• I love art, specifically I love to sketch realism, from people in pictures to still-life.
