Volunteer Work

City At Peace


An arts program that deals with social change and the empowerment of the Youth (the program goes from age 14-24) to make a change in the world. We go through the process of going through systems of oppression and how it's affected our lives- how we have become the people that we are due to them. At the end of the year we create our own musical based on the stories that we have heard throughout the year and perform for an audience. While in this program I was on a production team which is a team of cast members who gather to make decisions on how to move the cast forward to fulfill the mission statement we made at the first of the year. We do this by collecting all the data we collected about the cast throughout the year, and deliberate through hours of discussion to best create an outline of the musical.
