• Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to identify target behaviors and develop individualized treatment plans for clients

• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, or parent consultations to discuss progress, concerns, or modifications related to treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress notes, session summaries, incident reports, and billing records according to ethical guidelines and legal requirements
• Conduct staff training on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA), ethics codes compliance, and safety protocols
• Stay up to date with current research literature in the field of behavior analysis and implemented evidence-based practices in clinical settings
• Conduct functional assessments and developed behavior intervention plans for individuals with developmental disabilities other than autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Utilize technology tools such as video modeling, virtual reality, or mobile applications to enhance treatment outcomes
• Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to provide integrated interventions for clients with multiple needs
• Advocate for individuals with special needs by promoting inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities in various settings
• Provide crisis intervention services during behavioral emergencies using de-escalation techniques and safety protocols
• Assess environmental variables that may influence behaviors and make recommendations for modifications or accommodations
• Support families in accessing community resources such as care providers, support groups, or recreational programs
• Design social skills training programs targeting specific deficits such as peer interaction, conversation skills, or emotional regulation
• Within the last year, I was promoted to Senior Clinician, from Assistant Clinical Director 1. This included creating training on Autism and ABA for staff, being more present in the group homes, training staff and being on the floor for modeling interventions and providing insight on interactive styles between staff and individuals.

Responsible for the behavioral interventions and oversight of 5 group homes and 5 adults in Community Companion Homes (CCH) with developmental disabilities and mental illness. Other duties include:

• Observe individuals in various environments
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Functional Assessment (FA)
• Create and monitor behavior intervention plans/positive support plans
• Create and monitor programs for independence (hygienic tasks, ADL skills)
• Create and monitor data sheets and excel data sheets
• Provide an environment to promote a safe and fulfilling lifestyle for the individuals we support.

Duties of a direct support professional include:

• Assist the residents with good hygiene
• Make and assist with meals
• Organize and support daily activities, including appointments and outings
• Implement behavior strategies and documentation
• Provide an enriching environment for the individuals we support
