QA Coordinator

Avantor
Paris, KY
07.2025 - Current
  • Audits roughly 15+ batch records daily, for compliance with GMP standards and accuracy of information.
  • Checks SAP and LIMS programs for lab results as well as material status, such as 'blocked, released, or rejected'.
  • Responsible for the release of raw material and finished goods when determined to meet proper quality expectations.
  • Emails any corrections needed to batch records or lab work to the appropriate party/individual and escalates anything out of compliance to higher-ups to issue deviations and investigations as needed.
  • Communicates through Microsoft Teams daily with different departments, especially working closely with the lab (regarding getting high-priority records tested and released as quickly and accurately as possible for customer satisfaction).
  • Filing of released records, as well as pulling old files for reference as needed, is also common during the workweek.

Pharmaceutical Technician II/QA Associate

Catalent Pharma Solutions
Winchester, KY
01.2022 - 07.2025
  • Operating lab equipment as a Pharmaceutical Technician II before moving to QA in November 2024.
  • Setting up and running labs in accordance to batch records to create medicine, taking readings/samples as needed, and troubleshooting as required.
  • As a technician, I was responsible for weighing and drumming of raw material according to batch specifications, scanning material into the lab for use and issuing it to the current batch record as required, as well as prompt and correct drop off of samples to QA or QC locations. As QA, I now test these samples via loose bulk density, tap bulk density, loss of drying, partial size analysis, and visual inspection determined by batch record specifications.
  • Conducted investigations into questionable test results.
  • I was second in command beneath my lab lead, and responsible for making sure the batches ran as smoothly as possible. I now audit records for accuracy and completion, working closely with production to fulfill any corrections needed.
  • In the lab I was responsible for daily data entry, especially when monitoring the machines and taking readings at required intervals. I now also input shift notes, help manage our batch records tracker, and prioritize end-of-month tasks via Teams. I often use Adobe to print "A or B" pages of the master batch record process sheets as needed by labs.
  • Maintaining proper drug storage procedures, registries, and records for controlled drugs.
  • Trained junior QA associates on best practices and methodologies for efficient performance within the team.
