  • Worked with 5-7 families and youth in the home 3 times a week for a minimum of an hour and twenty minutes per session- on therapeutic communication, behavioral management, coping skills, parenting skills, and education on mental disorders.
  • Collaborated with schools and families in order to establish continuity of behavioral management
  • Worked with workers and supervisors at the Department of Child Services (DCS) in order to advocate for the youth to remain or transition back into the family if this was appropriate.
  • Trained and Certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)- worked with youth individually in this process as well as with the family
  • Attended- group supervision, clinical supervision and individual supervision on a weekly basis as well as attending court, child and family team meetings at DCS. I also attended medication management appointments as well as individual sessions if there were other counselors involved.
