
Heather Hooten is a theatrical educator, director, and performance coach with more than 20 years of experience in both educational and professional theatre. Her work spans classroom instruction, stage performance, directing, and actor coaching for film and television. Throughout her career, she has guided students not only in acting and performance, but also in theatrical design, directing, dramaturgy, and playwriting.As the theatre director at Morrilton High School, Heather has collaborated closely with the choir department to produce multiple musicals and has led students through the adaptation and production of a Shakespearean play. Her productions emphasize creativity, collaboration, and authentic storytelling while providing students with hands-on experience in all areas of theatre production.In addition to her work in the classroom and on stage, Heather serves as a director and professional development coordinator for the Arkansas Thespian Society, where she supports theatre educators and students across the state through leadership, mentorship, and professional learning opportunities.
