Currently, I am part owner of a natural healthcare and hemp-based business and am pursuing opportunities to re-enter the workforce full-time. During my time as a part-time employee and stay-at-home-and-educator, I have developed skill sets that are highly valuable to employers, such as effective prioritization, time management, multi-tasking, problem resolution, and communication skills.
As a Coastal Hemp Company business owner, I manage all aspects of the business, from sourcing and purchasing products, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and developing marketing promotions. I am proficient in assessing customers' needs and recommending appropriate hemp-based products that will benefit individual health statuses. My marketing strategies attract customers to the store and/or website, resulting in increased sales through online advertising, social media marketing, and in-store promotions. I hire, train, and manage staff, and ensure the business is in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
I help clients with natural therapies, remedies, and diets to promote healing and wellness. I focus on a holistic approach to healthcare, addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a client's health, which indicates the root cause of their issues. My processes have included conducting patient assessments, through medical history, lifestyle, and symptom information. Based on the data and assessment, I have developed treatment plans which may include herbal remedies, dietary changes, exercise, stress management, sleep protocols, client education, and other lifestyle changes.
As a financial advisor assistant, I provided support to the principal financial advisor by preparing and processing client account applications and transfer of funds requests. I maintained client records, updated databases, conducted research, and gathered information for client meetings and presentations. I developed marketing plans, created newsletters, and coordinated events and seminars for clients. I provided exceptional customer service to clients and addressed their questions in a timely manner which resulted in solidifying client relationships.
During these years, my focus was on my growing family and included my commitment as a home-school teacher for seven children. As their educator, I researched and chose the appropriate curriculum for each level of development and implemented lessons plans, resulting in their early and successful high school and associate degree program graduations.
My work in the international department of Cook Systems International focused on the recruitment of skilled technology workers from Hyderabad, India (our sister international location). I facilitated workers getting H1B1 visas to work for specialty technology occupations in the United States. I completed all of their INS paperwork, matched them with clients that could best utilize their specific skill sets, and assisted with acclimating the workers to the United States. I also managed executive calendars, scheduling meetings and appointments as well as coordinating travel arrangements to optimize time.
As a loan advisor/officer, I guided clients through the loan application process, assessed their financial situation, evaluated their creditworthiness, and helped them choose the best loan product for their needs, whether mortgage loans, personal loans, and small business loans/lines of credit. As an Assistant to a Commercial Banking advisor, I assisted businesses in meeting their financial objectives, analyzed financial information to determine loan eligibility, recommended loan products, and explained terms and conditions.
