Summary

I have nearly 10 years of experience as Chief Deputy Clerk for the Justice of the Peace PCT 1. I am adept in legal knowledge and administrative support. I have guarded the legal documents of this office with strict confidentiality. I have learned the legal terminology that is necessary for this job. I have attended several training classes on new state laws, procedures and vital statistics. I have knowledge of all legal processes in this court from small claims cases, evictions, debt claims, traffic citations and class C misdemeanors. I deal with the public on a daily basis whether in person or over the phone. It takes a certain quality of person to deal with angry frustrated individuals. I have managed to keep a calm and deescalating attitude throughout even the worst case scenario. As a Justice of the Peace you are the peoples judge oftentimes on the front lines as the face of the local court system. Maintaining objectivity while still developing relationships with the public is incredibly important to this job. I feel that I would be ideal for this job because of my extensive experience in this field and my love for my community.
