Work History
DPHHS Child Protection Services
02.2019 - Current
Duties: I work as an ongoing worker which means it is my job to work with the parents to get them reunited with their children. I visit with children and their placements. I will make sure that I get both the parent's and the children referred for services. I work closely with the police department, child support, Alternatives and Friedel Inc. I also work with different visit centers to facilitate visits with the parents and children. At times I will go out on investigations and have to do a removal of a child. I work on Guardianship and Adoptions also. That entails a packet of information that is needed so I complete the check list for each of those. As on going worker I have to do different affidavits and appear at court. I have also had to testify several times. Most of my job is notes. I have to make detailed notes to have a sound affidavit.
Mental Health Worker
Community Crisis Center
01.2017 - 02.2019
Duties: Mental Health Worker. I work with people in crisis, mostly homeless. There, we help clients with their paperwork to check in. We feed them, do their laundry and make sure they have a shower. I file, answer crisis calls, and if they need, I will do a safety contract with them if they mark on their paperwork suicidal, self harm or harm to others. When clients leave, we clean the bays, washing beds, clean bathrooms, showers and restock necessary items. We also go to Rescue Mission to pick up food. We serve food and drink.
Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch
01.2016 - 01.2017
Duties: I work with youth that have severe emotional disorders. Most of the youth I work with have issues with drugs and self harm. At YBGR I am there to help the youth stay on task. Youth have schedules that are to be followed. There is never really any down time for them. They have several groups that we as mental health workers run. Staff run the youth to all their appointments. MABPRO is the restraint training. Also CPR/First aid trained. I do the same at YBGR as I did at Excel and New Day but at YBGR I will eventually doing MTPRs (Master Treatment Plan Reviews).

HRDC 7
10.2009 - 06.2012
Duties: Worked in Child Care Eligibility Department. I helped low income families receive childcare at a cost they could afford. I set up schedules for daycare. Filing. Answer multi line phone system. Sort mail. I verified information on the clients application such as hours worked, paycheck amounts and child support payments, reason a client may have quit, and if they were presently employed. State guidelines had to be met with each client. I also kept in contact with the child care providers regarding payments, co-pays and hours. I worked closely with Child Support Enforcement for payments received because that was a requirement to have a open case if a single parent household was applying. I also had to process invoices to providers once a month.
New Day Group Home
05.2008 - 10.2009
Duties for both: Monitor juveniles with Severe Emotional Disorder. Excel was a group home for juvenile male sex offenders. New Day was more the victims. I worked with victims of abuse from ages 10-18. I ran a household of 6-8 youths with another staff member each overseeing 3 youth each per state guidelines. Monitored youth to keep a strict schedule such as homework, help prepare meals, keep appointments with doctors or therapists, school and bathing. Youth were to be monitored every minute and we had a monitor sheet that was broke down in 15 minute intervals for the 24 hour day. I also escorted the youth to church and made sure they got the proper exercise if they earned an outing. I am trained in CPI restraints and also am CPR certified. Rooms were to be checked for cleanliness and they were to do deep cleaning every weekend. I did case noting each day when the shift was winding down regarding each youth and what they did and what their attitudes were like. We had to keep up the point board that was tallied at end of day that tracked the youths levels and points earned. Write ups were also given if there was less than good behavior.
