With a robust background in oncology nursing at Calvert Health Medical Center and Anne Arundel Medical Center, I excel in clinical judgment and compassionately managing patient care from diagnosis through end-of-life planning. My expertise includes oncology treatment planning and ensuring comprehensive care and support for diverse cancer patient populations.
I am very intrigued by data, numbers, and efficacy in treatment modalities. I am highly organized and looking to get back into an office setting. I enjoy following along cancer patients in their cancer fight.
I currently work as an oncology staff nurse on the oncology in-patient unit. In this position we treat patients with cancer diagnosis, with wide range of populations. Such as thoracic surgeries, oncologic complications and emergency, high risk chemotherapy, to end of life care.
I started at Calvert on the medical surgical floor. I moved around within the system doing charge nurse as well as some time in the emergency room. The last 4 years prior to coming to Anne Arundel I spent as an office RN / Navigator in the oncology clinic. Here, I did a lot of care management with the patients. From initial diagnosis, chemotherapy planning and teaching, helping them set up appointments, symptom management, to end of life care. I worked with all types of cancer patient populations.
