-Work in a sterile USP 800 environment preparing a high volume of chemotherapy infusions using aseptic technique which includes a needle less system called Eqashield.

-Use a computer program called EPIC WILLOW to view patient profiles and add proper medication regimens to our LYNX machine for daily dispensing.

-Run Queued regimen reports for weekly medication ordering and place drug orders thru McKesson & MPB to maintain proper inventory for weekly and monthly usages without excess.

-Receives daily drug order, check for discrepancies against the invoice and load medications properly into our Lynx machine.

-Maintain inventory control and order IV medications, solutions, supplies and all PPE for the pharmacy. Weekly medication inventory counted and all discrepancies corrected.

-A member of the Lynx Committee, which involves making corrections for the other 12 sites including drug waste, dose changes, improper loading of medications and billing corrections.

-Responsible for data entry for new and refilled specialty medication orders.

-Accurately included calculations of doses and daily supply of medication.

-Routed orders to the proper destination if needing special attention including RpH's, insurance verifiers or special teams.

-Followed JCAHO Guidelines

-Filled and labeled a high volume of medication requests accurately including cautionary and auxiliary labels.

-Worked in a steriele797 compounding area to provide patients with antibiotics, cardiac infusions , TPN'S and all Stat IV's.

-Dispensed and delivered patient medications throughout the hospital efficiently and in a timely manner.

-Accurately filled and replaced medications in the Omnicell cabinets throughout the hospital, including the OR's and special procedure rooms.

-Responsible for training all new Technicians in a manor that was precise and understandable.

-Designed a detailed guide for all work responsibilities to make the technicians more comfortable.

-Created a 4-6 week rotating work schedule for the technicians monthly.

-Prepared Chemotherapy infusions for the Pittsburgh Cancer Institute.

-Replenished the Omnicell with the correct medications, and running reports to correct any discrepancies.
