Got the opportunity to become the Plant Manager for 3 years. Which basically meant to control the whole Warehouse operation.   • As Plant manager had to schedule in production activity for the every month. Had to give the maintenance supervisor the work orders for machine set ups. Also made sure we were fulfilling customers orders on time and efficiently. I was also enforcing safety regulations. Making sure machine operators were following the lockout-tagout protocol correctly. Had to make sure that the production being made met the specs the customer wanted. I was also making sure Quality control was doing their job correctly. I was responsible for 1st and 2nd shift production. Also had to oversee that the shipping department was shipping orders on time.
  • I also took care of the hiring process interviewed and gave orientation to see if they were qualified for the position.
  • Verified with the Fishbowl system order quantities and due dates were correct. That way I was able to prioritize what needed to be done first.
  • I was also responsible for putting safety videos for the employees. Also checked the time cards to verify payroll. On bi-weekly basis. For both 1st and 2nd shifts.
  • Certain machines had Haz-Mat chemicals. I would make sure I gave the operators the correct PPE equipment for their safety.
  • Other responsibilities were to make sure all inbound and outbound freight is secure and not damaged
  • Maintained precise records of finished goods and raw material inventories.
  • Made sure we unloaded and loaded on forklift in a safely manner.
  • Would also call the freight companies to schedule pick-ups and write the Bill of Lading for the freight that is leaving the building
