Supervision

• Provisional General Road Supervisor.
• Establish daily work schedule.
• Supervises field crews engaged in maintenance, repair/ construction of roadways.
• Use of computers and other devices to interact with others and manage requests/ inquiries.
• Check citizen and/or group complaints.
• Monitor National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Compliance of road facilities.
• Supervises operation of equipment and labor in construction of mountain roads.
• Perform monthly street inspection.

Project Planning.

• Provide project management, cost estimation, and other support services to construction contractors and engineers.
• Coordinate construction jobs with other agencies and divisions.
• Coordinate manpower for various job tasks within the County.
• Responsible for training new employees in the use of tools and equipment.
• Provided supervision to construction crews training them on project plans, safety directives and procedures.
• Conduct biweekly safety meetings.

Documentation

• Reported and documented unsafe conditions, equipment and/or injury.
• Prepares Workman Compensation Reports as needed.
