Quality Technician
Alta Design
12.2017 - 04.2018
As the only inspector of the quality department I was to make sure the department was up and running smoothly on a daily basis, including but not limited to, handling all inspections needed on the floor for production along with detailed first article inspection on all new parts before full production
Inspections and test were concluded using a variety of tools from hand tools such as: calipers, gauges, micrometers, depth gauges etc; to more complex tools such as high end Optical Measurement Machines which I had to create, and deploy its programs for
Every inspection required a well detailed and signed report with all required measurements meeting client specified tolerances
Any issues or discrepancies was to be thoroughly documented and handled apart from all other components to keep with strict guidelines and standard of procedures issued
Other responsibilities included the calibration and maintenance of all tools and machines used on a daily basis as well as make sure the department was kept clean and organized to meet Quality Control standards.
Quality Technician
Celestica
12.2016 - 10.2017
Daily tasks included in-depth inspections of all production parts along with new pre-production parts
All inspections were to be accompanied by a signed and detailed report indicating all required measurements and critical features were present, accounted for and with in specified tolerances
Clear traceability, documentation and data entry was a part of everyday work to keep order in the department along with corresponding with the need of parts in production
Along with daily inspections, other tasks included programming machines for future incoming articles to expedite the quality inspection process.
Quality Technician
Cardica
02.2014 - 05.2016
Tasks working in this department included keeping track of all raw material and supplied parts upon arrival and prior to releasing them to the production floor
Along with keeping close accountability of all raw materials coming in and out of the department I was to keep track of all new tools coming in for use
Aside from this data entry pre-production work, I was also responsible for usual quality assurance work such as first article inspections, in production inspections, and all new revised and new parts had an in-depth full first article along with a clear report of its corresponding data
One major task I was assigned with was to expedite the inspection process in place by creating and developing programs for all machines the department
I worked closely with the engineering team in developing futures to facilitate and expedite inspections.
Ramp Agent
Airport Terminal Services
04.2013 - 03.2014
My role while my time at the San Jose airport was a Ramp Agent
As I ramp agent, part of my job was to identify the correct aircraft upon landing and, along with my team, guide the plane to its corresponding gate, perform a thorough walk around inspection of the aircraft for any visible damage that might have been cause during flight or upon take off from prior location, chock its tires for stability, and hook up any ventilation needed; all with in 4 minutes of the aircrafts tires hitting the ground
All this was to be done as quickly as possible with out losing sight of safety in order to meet the following time constraints such as having the first bag on the belt no later than 8 minutes of arrival
Aside from the aforementioned tasks, I was responsible for relaying any special messages to the flight crew in charge
Upon offloading and loading the proper luggage to its corresponding aircraft, I was to go into the cabin and make sure the luggage was stacked accordingly to match the weight distribution plan
After that was checked and signed off, another thorough walk around of the aircraft was to be done
Once everything was checked off and a double check of the list was verbally conducted with the rest of the team, I was to get on the radio and communicate with the pilot that we were ready to push back out to the runway
Upon getting the approval from the pilot, I performed what is known as “pushing out a plane” using a heavy vehicle along with safety watchers and keeping a close communication with the pilot.
OMM Programmer/Operator
Streamline Circuits
02.2010 - 03.2013
My main task while employed at this electronics manufacturer was to program the optical measurement machine in the department to simplify and expedite the inspection process for all circuit boards coming in for final or in-process inspection
Along with handling these inspections I was to interpret technical drawings to identify all critical features and tolerances to capture while designing and creating the programs
Strict traceability and documentation practices were enforced along with proper data entry and management.
