Hello and welcome to my profile! I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a little more about myself. I like to think of myself as a helper. I started my post-college 'career' in an entry level position at a flower farm that allowed individuals of all abilities to participate. I quickly rose to Managing Director of said non-profit and was offered the position of Executive Director.

I turned down the job to set my sights on a dream of becoming a Law Enforcement Park Ranger. I moved from Maryland to Ohio, attended a seven month dual enrollment (state and federal) academy and landed a job in Acadia National Park, Maine (also the future site of my wedding).

I worked in Law Enforcement for about seven years before I felt like I wasn't really helping people anymore. I was offered a position at a local solar company in Washington, D.C. and I thought it would be cool to help people in the renewable sector. This is where I honed my people skills and really focused on Human Resources.

I advocated for mental health days and additional employee benefits that would later become standard within the company. I accomplished quite a bit in my short time at the company, starting from a solely paper based company to completely online, just in time for the pandemic. I collaborated with team members to implement a CRM and update our online security. I was able to analyze our HR functions and performances on a daily basis. Additionally, I integrated financing functions within our CRM and was quickly promoted to HR & Finance Manager. Unfortunately in 2023, the company made several budget cuts, and I was laid off. I have taken a few consulting jobs as of lately, including a finance role, and assisting the D.C. Emergency Rental (Housing) Assistance Program.

Why am I telling you all of this? I'd love for you to get to know the real me. I'm an extremely hard worker that gets things done. I love a good challenge and I love helping people, in whatever form that may be. I love advocating for my employees, my friends, neighbors, community and creating better systems to help us all collaborate more easily and accessibly. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you might have!
