Hardworking and passionate with a deep love of music. Teaches group classes in fun and supportive atmosphere at a local middle school, and teaches regular AKS material at an internship with an elementary school. Plays flute with 7 years of practical experience and commitment to instructional excellence.
In the past 3 years, I've been able to secure spots in District 13's Honor Band. I've also won awards within my own band, including Most Outstanding Symphonic Band Member (2021-2022) and Most Improved Marching Band Member within the same time period. Even though I don't have much in terms of plaques with my name on them, my greatest accomplishment has been seeing the people I was able to help as their section leader grow into wonderful and talented young musicians. Being able to nurture their passion and love for music is no easy feat when you're dealing with teenagers, as stubborn as they are. But here they all are, 2 years later, still playing flute as if they'd never thought about quitting. It's truly the best part about being involved with music to this degree. Not only is this about marching band, but I helped bring a Tri-M chapter to our school again as their historian. I love what I've been able to accomplish with my time in high school, and I look forward to continue pursuing my love of music throughout college and beyond.
