Leadership in the community: I value the importance of mentoring. At America On Track, I mentored teenagers whose parent(s) were incarcerated. Currently, I mentor at the Orange County School of Arts a student who is interested a in Law Enforcement career. The school's program allows students to ask questions, build a network, and learn leadership skills.

Professional leadership: I conduct comprehensive training sessions for new and experienced Officers. They learn proper crime scene processing methods which ensures optimal collaboration during investigations.

Every year, I teach the Crime Scene Investigations at the Citizens Academy (English and Spanish academies). The class is interactive, engaging, and informative.

The Huntington Beach Search and Rescue program has a yearly competition that allows the students to act as Crime Scene Investigators. I have taught Crime Scene Investigations to them and they become efficient and confident in the competition.

Languages: I am a certified Spanish speaking employee and often times, I respond to scenes to translate investigations. I speak English and Spanish. I am comfortable speaking either language in front of diverse groups while on the streets, at community events, or in a classroom.
