  • My current position as an accountant with the finance department. Main duties include managing various grants such as Energy, CalFresh, and Susan Harwood Osha grants, along with other grant work for vacant positions. These duties include monitoring budgets and expenses to verify not only financial compliance but also program compliance
  • Give status updates to program directors and assistant directors, bill funders for costs incurred to various grants and/or other agencies for shared space costs.
  • Daily cash reconciliations, Cash count, process, and distribute Cal-Recycle cash bags for the recycling team.
  • Generate journal entries and ARIs for various programs/grants.
  • On a monthly basis, I also process our Indirect Cost Rates and distribute it proportionate to work done in all of our programs
  • Previously my position was Sr Program Specialist, Account Clerk II, I was working as an account clerk for the Finance department, Main priorities were to code and data enter accounts payable invoices for all programs within CSET.
  • I also gather information and create journal entries to move wages, materials & subcontractor invoices to the correct grant for the Energy grants, as well as assist with putting together monthly reports for the LEAD program, verify statements from vendors to ensure we have received all invoices, assist in any other area necessary
  • I am knowledgeable & have recently collected, coded, and fully processed invoices from sub-contractors, w/ data entry into various spreadsheets and ServTraq software, as well as communicated with sub-contractors regarding open work orders and maximum reimbursements
  • I was the bridge between Finance and Program for a little more than a year until I moved into my current position, which included working with program staff and assisting with data entry for open files, billing & closing files, attending & taking minutes at Finance & Energy biweekly meetings
  • I am knowledgeable with MIP and am using it on a daily basis with entering the invoices
  • I have also assisted the Energy Department with data entry and other tasks as assigned by Jacqueline Bean
  • In total, I volunteered 6 tax seasons for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Tax Preparation Program at CSET.
  • Completed daily cash functions like account tracking, payroll and wage allocations, budgeting, donating, and cash and banking reconciliations.
