- My Daily duties were to close the tunnels up and get them ready for production. Bringing up the engine room to cool the tunnels down. We're required to do two hour engine rooms to make sure compressors are running to full efficiency, checking oil levels and discharge pressures. Also, had to do Boiler Checks which requires low water cutoffs and Chemical Checks Daily. Also doing two hour checks in the Boiler room. In the off season we tore everything down to do repairs. We rebuild all motors and gearboxes replace bearings and seals as needed and change all gear oil. We replace chains and sprockets and belts if needed.
