Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager

Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL)
10.2018 - 07.2019
  • ILS Manager for all of Global Aerospace Logistics maintenance programs. Lead a team of engineers and maintenance/component/logistics analysts in producing business case studies (BCS) and increasing/obtaining depot maintenance capabilities for all the customers’ fleet. Developed the first reliability reporting system in the customer’s ERP system to better track maintenance trends and behaviors, allowing higher quality information in order to execute improvement actions to include: changing maintenance practices and procedures, and obtaining OEM training, equipment, and authorizations for the performance of depot level maintenance.
  • The first BCS completed by my office was for the UH-60L/M hydro-mechanical servos, including the Primary Servos, Pilot Assist Servos, T/R Servo, and Transfer Modules. The BCS showed an expenditure of over $15M over the next five years based on historical data. The BCS showed an ROI in less than one year (a $2.4M investment) if customer purchased the proper hydraulic test stand, equipment, parts, and training associated with such maintenance.
  • Many other BCSs were completed that showed by consolidating avionics/radio test equipment at the new depot facility, it would eliminate the lack of communication between individual Groups (Battalions). For example, many radios and other instruments are shared amongst different airframes at different locations, so when a radio breaks at one location it gets sent out for repair without checking any of the other Groups to see if they have the test equipment and/or repair capability. The ILS team saved millions of dollars by simply consolidating these efforts to a central location.
