⦁ I grew up as a hockey player and I ended my athletic career at the Junior level. Being a hockey player has instilled a team player mindset in me. I have always believed that police work is very similar since everyone works together to achieve a goal. Working together as a team has been a way of life for me for over twenty years and I would love to continue being a part of a great team. I want to learn more, expand on my abilities and also be able to bring something to the table. I am looking to join a larger team than what I am used to with the hopes of achieving the department goals and having a great relationship with the other team members.
⦁ I established myself in this career by having a proactive style of policing while being able to interact with subjects on a more personal level to create rapport.
⦁ I was leading the department in arrests for three calendar years in a row and the fourth year up until the time of leaving.
⦁ I am certified as both a PT instructor and an OC Instructor. I am very knowledgeable about the motor vehicle code.
⦁ I completed many hours of additional training voluntarily. These trainings often included work through the New England High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (NEHIDTA) to broaden my knowledge and experience in this field.
⦁ I am continuing to demonstrate my proactive style of policing by initiating traffic stops that result in arrestable offenses.
