Summary

Throughout my 20 years as an educator in different school settings, I have always believed that one of my greatest strengths lay in my ability to inspire people and teams. I have also created an environment where diverse communities and groups feel empowered to communicate through a system that supports collaboration, understanding, equity, and mutual respect.

I have experience working with grades K4-12 as an Administrator. As an Administrator, I supervised educational staff while setting and maintain a high bar for performance. I also believed in complete transparency with all staff. It was also my experience that as the school's educational leader, it was my responsibility to cultivate talent while building trusting relationships with all stakeholders and empowering staff. I have also developed a shared vision to ensure all students' achievement while creating a sense of urgency, taking immediate action to ensure maximum success.

As a teacher, I have had the opportunity to lead professional development sessions. I have also lead my department while creating an avenue for colleagues to feel empowered and supported with career decisions. I believe that my vast experiences in life, education, and working experiences in and out of the classroom will make me an ideal candidate, a good team player, and an excellent fit as an Assistant Principal in Minneapolis Public Schools.
