Community Engagement

  • John Muir Middle School Philanthropy/Fundraising Chair 2020-2023: Led a student and parent committee that raised funds for renovations to the Muir Performing Arts Auditorium (sound system, mics and light board replacement), teacher requests for classroom enrichment projects, installation of the donor wall in the John Muir courtyard.
  • Thomas Jefferson Elementary Booster President 2017-2019: Led a parent organization in raising 250k/school year, originated and produced KIDCHELLA, an annual concert comprised of 22 student bands, established and funded the STE(A)M Lab at TJE, and implemented the Enrich L.A. program which overhauled the school garden and began instruction in the newly developed outdoor classroom.
  • Thomas Jefferson Elementary Art Day Coordinator 2013-2016: Organized and carried out two annual daylong events for 760 K-5th graders, focused on master artists, using a wide variety of artistic mediums.
