Summary

I've had the privilege to create, run, and grow organizations, initiatives, and companies designed to shape the future. As a public official, social entrepreneur, technology executive, and nonprofit leader, I’ve had the opportunity to bring together thousands around some of our greatest global challenges and prove that nothing is impossible that we take on in community.

At the helm of nonprofit, I built and led an organization engaging thousands of young people in civics and policy programming at chapters nationwide, ultimately earned the organization recognition as earning the organization the MacArthur award winner for Creative and Effective Institutions. As a think tank leader, I developed and launched projects with the goal of empowering communities, reducing inequality, and outlining a new New Deal alongside the greatest economists of our generation. In the President’s seat at a global company with the goal of democratizing our democracy, I helped us to grow to ~$25MM+ in revenue, serving more than 6K nonprofits, movements, companies, and advocacy efforts in 100+ countries worldwide, and secure market position as the world's most used software for advocacy. Finally, as the first Chief Growth Officer for any state in the country, we tackled the existential challenge facing so many communities nationwide, built a movement of tens of thousands of Michiganders around the work, and delivered results that bucked decades-long trends in under 3 years.

As a leader, I’ve sought to apply the same core belief in each of these roles— to tackle our biggest challenges, we need the audacity to dream big, innovate, and be brave, as well as the humility to know we the essential nature of learning from others and building in community because we can’t be successful alone. In every role, I’ve worked hard to engage and learn from diverse stakeholders, leverage insights to design compelling programs & cutting-edge engagement strategies, and build teams capable and motivated enough to deliver results.

Finally, I’ve always led with a love of home—my home state of Michigan, and Detroit, the greatest city in the world. Nothing is impossible for Michiganders. And nothing stops Detroit.
