While employed by Hilton Furniture and Leather Gallery, I'm in charge of all day to day warehouse operations. I am also in charge of stocking new merchandise as well as pulling and scheduling merchandise delivery. This employment background experience has familiarized me with bills of lading and merchandise management which is a key element in the maritime industry.

While managing a warehouse, I have also been titled safety supervisor. Maintaining a clean and safe workspace is key to running warehouse operations efficiently. I am in charge of making sure all workers have proper PPE and training/ certification in order to operate machinery from your traditional forklifts to order picker lifts. This along with the following listed below are just few responsibilities that I feel would greatly aid me in the maritime industry.

• Completed workplace safety and hazard inspections.
• Instructed employees on OSHA standards.
• Analyzed onsite incidents and instituted precautionary measures to reduce risk and severity of workplace injuries.
• Participated in safety meetings by answering questions from staff members.
