Responsibilities & Achievement

• Developed advocacy strategy and strategic messaging for QFFD in line with Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and Qatar National Vision 2030. (Endorsed by Deputy Prime Minister).
• Amplified and highlighted the impact of Qatar's foreign aid on other countries locally, regionally, globally, and at the beneficiary level using campaigns, digital communication, policy papers, research papers, exhibitions, and international events.
• Supported a network of over 60 international, regional, and local stakeholders including multilateral organizations, philanthropic foundations, NGOs, and donor agencies.
• Developed and oversaw advocacy strategy and activities in support of: Qatar's $100 million pledge to support climate change interventions in least developed countries and small island states.
  International Day to Protect Education from Attack, spearheaded by the State of Qatar.
  
• Raised awareness on Qatar's support for the Sustainable Development Goals and other development assistance at local, regional, and global levels through exhibitions, seminars, international events, papers, digital communication, and more.
• Explained advocacy matters to children and youth on the importance of advocating for the SDGs and children's rights to education.
• Developed a Youth Ambassadors Programme for young advocates for the SDGs, children's rights, and other global issues locally.
• Prepared speeches for the Director General and Deputy Director General of QFFD and talking points for other representatives from QFFD.
• Prepared talking points for government officials representing the State of Qatar in international forums.
• Developed the strategy and implementation of the Sports for Development and Peace initiative.
• Developed and Implemented the QFFD Sustainability Awards working with local strategic partners.
• Developed social media campaigns related to the Sports for Development and Peace initiative and the QFFD Sustainability Awards.

• Engaged in data collection for Dr. Verhoeven’s research on the transformation of Ethiopia from an impoverished African state to a widely respected and influential international actor
  • Conducted a thorough literature review of over 50 academic publications to understand the existing scholarship and research on Ethiopia's transformation
  • Divided the transformation of Ethiopia into key milestones and events in order to organize the research
  • Collected relevant quantitative and qualitative data on Ethiopia's sociopolitical state since the 1947, including economic indicators, political developments, social progress metrics, and FDI
  • Corresponded and followed up with 25 relevant embassy attachés to retrieve metrics
  • Achievement: delivered final results 1.5 months ahead of schedule, as a result of efficient time management skills

• Provided one-on-one guidance, critical feedback, and tutoring support to students to help them improve upon their academic writing and grammar skills
• Edited undergraduate student work, including essays, presentations, reports, ect.
• Created content for workshops on and cheat sheets on different citation styles used at Georgetown, in particular, Chicago & APA
• Recommended and discussed editorial changes with students, designed to enhance the clarity, grammatical accuracy, and consistency of their written work
• Identified and addressed students' difficulties by creating and distributing handouts and citation cheat sheets, contributing to a 25% reduction in common writing mistakes among students
