I am an ambitious, hard-working student who wants to learn more about my future in the workforce by actively engaging within it. Through this internship, my goal is to learn more about myself and my affinities for different careers during the coming years so that I can best apply myself in the real world. Through numerous prior experiences to enhance my abilities, I believe that I have the skills necessary to excel in whichever position I could be located in. Regardless, no matter what career I move into going forward, one thing is abundantly clear to me: whatever job I choose to work in the future, I want to make a difference in the lives of the people around me.
I am currently the senior youth leader of my boy scout troop, Troop 1 Manville. As the youth in charge, I am responsible with guiding scouts of a variety of ages through camping trips and rank advancement. I have to collaborate with the other older boys, lead presentations about scouting skills to the younger boys, all the while effectively communicating with everyone so that events run smoothly. Building upon this, my troop has participated in and lead numerous service projects in our town to give back to the local community. The variety of skills I have developed in boy scouts has helped me to grow as a person, enabling me to climb the ranks of scouting to having almost achieved Eagle Scout. Completing my Eagle Project this upcoming Spring is one more milestone towards the rank of Eagle.
