JOB TITLE: Clinical Education Credentialing Coordinator
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Clinical Clerkships and the Program Manager, the Clinical
Education Credentialing Coordinator, under minimal supervision, provides executive level
hospital/student/ preceptor and all related partners assistance and operational support. Works
closely with the each hospital system, statewide AHEC student coordinators, ACEMAPP; My
Clinical Exchange; Clinician Nexus software programs each month to credential 3 rd and 4 th year
students. Works with the Student Resident Medical Records Department for verification of
student wellness records. Coordinates utilizing the Evalue System in order to establish student
clerkship clearance.
This position serves as the first point of contact for all students, faculty, affiliate partners and
outside members of the PCOM community and is responsible for all matters related to the
credentialing processes for 3 rd and 4 th year students, affiliation agreements and VSLO/VSAS.
The Clinical Education Credentialing Coordinator liaises with and maintains strong,
professionally tactful and effective communication across all internal and external networks.
Performs a variety of highly responsible, detail oriented, confidential and complex duties
for the Department of Clinical Education. He/she supervises and manages the work study
student program included but not limited to schedules, projects, and logs.
