Dynamic barista and assistant manager with a proven track record at Journey Coffee, excelling in customer service and team leadership. Skilled in coffee expertise and time management, I thrive in fast-paced environments, ensuring customer satisfaction while training new hires and maintaining cleanliness. Passionate about creating memorable experiences through engaging interactions.
Working at Journey Coffee I was given the opportunity to learn more about making traditional coffee which allowed me to show the ability to quickly adapt and learn new skills. I also demonstrated great customer service by creating conversations while staying on task of making their coffees at a fast pace. As I became more comfortable working at Journey, I was given the opportunity to become an assistant manager which allowed me to learn new skills such as ordering needed products and goods for the store, and learning to offer more guidance for my team to work efficiently.
When I started working at Starbucks, I learned to adapt to a more fast paced work environment with new work skills related to the coffee industry. I was able to pleasantly interact with customers even during hectic periods in order to create a positive experience. Working at starbucks had also exposed me to gaining the experience of working the drive through, taking orders, taking payment in exchange of customer's orders, or even both at the same time all while providing good communication with my team.
As a hostess at Pelayo's restaurant, I greeted customers and seated them at tables based on their preferences and the availability. I often times took drink orders when waitresses were busy in order to create a positive experience for the customers. I provided chips and salsa for the guests while they patiently waited for their food and acts of service. When customers are satisfied and leave the table they occupied I would take back dirty dishes and made sure the table and seats were wiped down ensuring there were no food residue left behind.
As my first job, working at Brendan Theaters allowed me to learn most of my skills I have today by experiencing many different responsibilities. Those responsibilities were managing money from either the ticket booth or the concession stands, receiving tickets and giving guests clear guidance on where their theater is located, stocking the condiment bars, and thoroughly cleaning the lobbies of any leftover popcorn and the theaters after every movie has finished. I also assisted with store opening and closing procedures, ensuring thorough preparation for each day's business hours.
