Volunteer
Tiny Hearts Of Hope

Volunteer/service/advocacy - Support all patients with malignant diseases undergoing chemotherapy
Had the privilege to connect, interact and learn from patients during the toughest times of their lives

Tutor
UMP
03.2017 - 03.2018
I was the only student in my class selected to be a tutor for junior medical students (MS) (2nd and 3rd year)
This activity aimed to develop doctoring and core clinical skills for those who found it difficult to start the clinical year as well as generate connections and bonds between senior and junior MS
Improved students' clinical competencies through facilitating weekly small group discussions to address emerging clinical questions
Designed simulation cases and mock tests to prepare MS for end-of-rotation exams
At the end of my tutoring year, my tutees improved significantly from being graded as average to good students
Most importantly, they could confidently interact and connect with patients.

Hobbies & Interests
Traveling and cooking are my favorite activities. When traveling, I often go on "adventures" in grocery stores to find ingredients to use in new and authentic recipes to treat my friends.
Music: I love interpreting the lyrics of 70s and 80s Japanese city pop songs.
Sports: I also enjoy swimming 2-3 times a week. My favorite strokes are the backstroke and breaststroke.
