As a new graduate RN, I started my bedside experience in the Surgical ICU. I was able to put my knowledge into practice in a fast paced environment with patients that had high acuity illnesses/post operative needs. I was able to use my strong interpersonal skills by collaborating with different team numbers to provide the best patient care and be their advocate. I am continued to be amazed by how much I have learned in this first year, and continue to learn throughout this start of my nursing career.
