Certified Apprentice
Liberty Pest Control
05.2022 - 09.2022
Went through 6 weeks of training with Certified Applicator in field and in office. Reading labels and studying all aspects of the pesticides and chemicals we use on a daily basis. Studying agriculture and different kinds of insects, rodents, birds and general pests. I am given invoices in the morning for the day. Each invoice consists of the customer’s name, address, phone number and what kind of treatment they had requested for. I always call atleast 10 minutes before the appointment time to let the customer know that I am their exterminator for today and that I am on the way. Once I get to the customers location, I knock on the door and introduce myself. I ask the customer what kind of pests they are having and the severity of the activity. After knowing that information, I basically give them a run down on what pesticide I would be using and how I am going to applicate/spray the house. I then go to my company vehicle and start to prepare. Don proper ppe such as gloves. Read each label of pesticides for mixing and indoor application purposes. After pesticide is mixed, knock on the door for entry. Start spraying right hand all through the house. Aimed low for baseboards and sprayed under furniture. After treatment has been completed, I give them their invoice and then collect payment. Wish the customer well and put sprayer back into truck. Doff ppe and turn in payment to proper envelope. After this process, head on to the next house. Repeat process.
Fire Watch/Hole Watch
Integrated Mechanical Industrial
03.2021 - 04.2021
On site, I always have my fire extinguisher, Air Horn, Communications radio and permits for hot work. Made sure that the required hot work permit of the day is signed by the supervisor, welder and myself before any hot work is performed. I insured that any and all sparks that land on the ground or other objects do not cause a fire. Whole Watch/ On site, I always have my communications radio, hot work permits and sign in sheet for those who are going in and out of the confined space. I check them in when going into the confined space and check them out when they exit the confined space. This ensures that I have the head count of people and know who exactly is in the confined space. I have to sit next to the confined space next the H2S Monitor at all times. Every hour, I called the Mill Foreman to perform an air check to make sure there are no other foreign gases in the confined space with the workers.
