I received my Bachelors Degree in Speech and Communication Disorders. I then returned to school to study Special Education / Mild to Moderate and got my teacher certification k-12 460.

I was invited to Governor Haslam's panel of teachers (meeting in October 2015) and I gave a speech on the testing of Special Education students. Then was asked to be on the Task Force to create a new yearly test. I declined the offer, but great changes were made to the yearly test for the students and I am so happy with the new test. I think we made a difference!
I am certified 460 Mild /Moderate k-12 and highly qualified. I renewed my license in 2014 and it is good until 2025. I took continuing education classes online through MTSU.
