• TENDER SUBMISSION: Civil Aviation Authority New Headquarters Building PPC-2018-CAA-010-ITT
• We appreciate the opportunity to participate in this bidding process and are pleased to submit our complete tender. Since receiving the tender documents in early January 2019, we have worked tirelessly on obtaining the best quotes and preparing our most competitive price for the Civil Aviation Authority. Having worked previously with the Civil Aviation Authority on the demolition stage in 2018 we appreciate how important this project is and our intentions are to exceed expectations if we are selected as the preferred bidder.
• Herein please find the following supporting documents as requested in the tender documents:
• A) Horace English has been with Cayman Structural Group since the company was founded and he has been the backbone to the company’s success to date. ‘English’ has over 25 years’ experience in construction and his knowledge and understanding of construction methods and techniques is unparalleled. Last year English successfully overseen the construction of over 54,000 sq ft of shell construction at the Periwinkle Development in Phase 1B and an additional 24,000 sq ft completed prior to this in Phase 1A. He has also been at the center of some of our most notable projects including Guy Harvey’s House (SS), Flynn Residence (VDM), Clifton Hunter Site Services & Site Infrastructure (FS), Grey Residence (Yacht Club), Peccarino Residence (SS), Davis Residence (Patrick’s Island), Manistee Residence (Canal Point) Bella Vista Residence (EE), Coral Stone Club House (SMB), Upland Residence (Rum Point), Cox Lumber (BT), Cayman Prep & High (Walkers Road) We are confident that English will ensure a successful outcome on this project.
• B) Cayman Structural Group Project Team Organization Chart – the project will receive strong oversight from senior management who will monitor the project on a daily basis and also provide contract administration and procurement duties. Please see project org chart attached.
• C) Construction Schedule –We use a software program called BuilderTrend to manage all of our projects (change orders, product selections, shop drawings/ product sign off along with daily reports). The schedule has been prepared using this software and is best viewed on the software platform. The schedule shows a timeframe of approximately 12 months but we are aiming to deliver the project in a shorter timeframe. Login access to the software can be provided upon request.
• D) Principal Subcontractors- We have made a preliminary selection of the following subcontractors to assist us in delivering this project to the highest quality of workmanship, within budget and on time. It should be noted that we tested the market with numerous vendors on each scope of work and also ran the first principal costs (for self-performing) in order to ensure we are providing the Authority with the most competitive pricing.
