
Pertaining to the position of IPS / IDS Analyst, I have over 13 years of experience in the field of Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). As a Member of the National Capital Region Information Operations Center (NCRIOC) from 2000 - Present, I have been a team member and team lead performing Network, Host Based and Volatile Data Analysis on the Army Defense Research and Engineering backbone (DREN). Applying the five phases of attack strategies: Reconnaissance, Attack, Entrenchment, Abuse, Obfuscation. Compiling Attack graphs and using tools such as Wire Shark, tcpdump, Ettercap, Ethereal, Snort, ArcSight SEIM, Splunk, BackTrackand many other custom tool sets. My current position is team lead for the Advanced Network Operations Center (NSA) analyzing Network and Host based intrusion sets.
In 2009 briefed Gen Keith B. Alexander on Tailored Acces Operations (TAO) within the National Security Agency (NSA).
In 2010 Received the Certificate of Appreciation for exceptional performance from the 704th Military Intelligence Brigade for services rendered in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Other than Homeland) NSA, 2009-2010
