When voices are not heard from all types of people, we are limiting ourselves to less than the potential of collective minds. Innovators are change makers and all of us can be change makers. Creativity and experience working with many different kinds of people/stakeholders from scientist to parents will create sustainable, engaging hands on lessons for students that will participate in NASA educational programs

  • Classes currently teaching: Basics in Programming for 6th graders- 10 week course (quarter) and Introduction to Computer Science semester 1 High school class for middle school students.
  • Self taught in programming to prepare for both classes
  • School district CTE certified
  • Equity of all students: strong advocate and voice for students to get opportunities to see themselves in STEM technology and creating what they want to see in their world.
  • Manage, prepare, perform all aspects of teaching in the classroom as well as the activities done out of class time
  • Work with district to continually support offerings in STEM to ALL students and not just those who have been introduced in other ways
  • Created and pulled from existing computer science curriculum to build a new class which is used at both of the middle schools
  • Advocated student voice about wanting more coding classes at middle school because they like the 6th grade class. This led to bringing the existing Intro to CS in the HS school down for 7th and 8th graders to take which allows them to earn HS credit.
