I am a retired municipal Chief of Police and a retired Chief of School Police Chief with over 42 years of total law enforcement experience. 18 years I served as Chief of Police., in the City of Compton where I grew up and was educated in.

I believe that I am uniquely qualified to render my administrative in the administratIve and operational activities of the Compton School Police Department, especially as it relatives to patrol, investigative, emergency operations staffing, discipline and School Police historical operations during my tenure.

  • Duties and responsibilities of Chief of Police were similar to that of Chief of School Police, but on a much greater scale. Department included had a $20.5 million dollar operational budget with 150 authorized sworn personnel and approx. 90 civilian personnel. City of Compton has an area of 10.5 sq. miles and a day time population of 120,000 persons.
  • The Department contained Patrol, Investigative and Administrative Bureaus and a number of Operational divisions, such a Air Support, SWAT and Special Investigations & etc.
  • Was a 31 1/2 year member of the Compton Police Department rising through the ranks from Police Officer to Chief of Police.
  • Worked a variety of assignments throughout my career including, Patrol Special Investigations, Narcotics/Vice (Detective & Supervisor), Administrative Services, Juvenile (Detective & Supervisor), Adjutant to different Captains and the Chief of Police, Watch Commander and Bureau Captain.
