  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for police, fire, 911 dispatch, and animal control applications. Determine the feasibility and scope of projects.
  • Manage three dozen virtual and physical servers (OS and specialized applications). Install, deploy, update, and upgrade as needed.
  • Design, planning, and implementation of new system platforms. (Functioning as a current CAD/RMS RFP evaluating and scoring committee member.)
  • Provide Tier-3 troubleshooting support for managed systems, including on-call after-hours support.
  • Write and maintain knowledge-based documents, and develop system diagrams and documentation. Contribute to the development of IT policies.
  • Assist in developing local disaster planning and redeploying critical systems to auxiliary sites.
  • Provide maintenance and support for the Phoenix G2 fire station alerting system.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Design and build the City of Denton 911 Dispatch Center and Datacenter (key contributor). This allowed the city to triple its dispatching capability. The massive project took 2-years to complete, which was accomplished during COVID
  • Develop a relocation plan for 911 Dispatch operations to auxiliary site (DENCO). Planning, purchasing hardware, configuring software, and designing network connectivity to allow remote dispatching
  • Designed and Built a turn-key backup 911 Dispatch center which contained 20 fully functional consoles. This project took 14 months to accomplish from the ground up to include Hardware, Software, Network, Furnature, HVAC systems, Electrical, and AV components.
  • Provided On-site Emergency Technical support for IT/Communications during Hurricane Katrina. Two weeks following the Hurricane, I slept in my office and put in 18-20 hour workdays in 95 degree humidity to reestablish system functionality, connectivity, and effect emergency repairs.
