Highlight: Wrote a Protocol for dealing discretely with victims of rape which was reviewed by the
City of St. Louis Grand Jury and recommended for implementation in hospitals throughout the
metropolitan area. Wrote a proposal for an interdisciplinary "Seminar On Dealing With Rape Victims" which was
funded by the Danforth Foundation. Sixty professionals enrolled. Professions represented include
Emergency Room nursing and medical staff, Patient Representative Staff, City Police Department
Special Unit on Rape, Social Workers, Institutional Chaplains and interested Pastors.
Assigned as Campus Minister and Wesley Foundation Director to Lincoln University, Jefferson City, MO.

While at Lincoln, a state university, during the period of student unrest, I became the negotiator
between the University President who threatened to call out the National Guard, which would have
almost certainly resulted in student deaths and the student body leadership who threatened to set buildings on fire.
Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed and no lives were lost.
Was recruited to serve as Senior Chaplain at the Menard Correctional Center, a 2,500 man state Maximum Security
Prison located in Southern Illinois. Was appointed to and trained for the state-wide Hostage Negotiation Team.
Organized a church inside the prison and provided supervision for rehab groups. Ministered to death row inmates.
