Summary
My name is Hudson Colfelt, and I am currently a senior at Arapahoe Ridge Highschool in Boulder, CO (graduating 3/11/26). Over the past three years I have worked as a shepherd and ranch hand at Wild Nectar Farm in Lyons, where I manage a flock of over one hundred sheep while maintaining the ranch alongside the farm owner.
This role has given extensive hands-on experience with physical labor, livestock management, fencing systems, power tools, and farm equipment. Working in a small team has also required independence, responsibility, and strong time management. I take pride in being reliable and in solving [problems directly in the field when challenges arise.
Outside of work, I enjoy working with mechanical systems, including automotive projects and computer hardware. I am also interesting in horticulture and hydroponic growing systems, which has led me to explore the science and engineering behind plant cultivation.
