Upon completion of walk through, generated interior and exterior diagrams of the buildings and provided training to 20 other firefighters for the purpose of building familiarization as well as any potential fire hazards enabling the department to be better prepared to fight fires in the buildings.
Operate fire communications equipment during incidents to ensure the fire apparatus gets to correct location in a timely matter.
Responsible for the operation of fire communications equipment on the scene the incident to report firefighter locations and to give updates on the progression of the incident (fire is out) to the incident commander, ensuring firefighter safety / accountability, and accurate information so the incident commander can make informed decisions.
